0 to 60 in a belted cardigan? done.

It's not cheating to use two people as digits if one's daughter begs to be part of the photo shoot. I checked the official rules of body-numeralcy. Written by me for me.
flats & jeans: american eagle outfitters. shirt: gap. cardigan: j.crew. belt: f21. bracelet & flower hairclip: downeast outfitters.

This is what I'm wearing today. Because it's comfy and easy. Because I like the neutral(ish) colors. And because it facilitates sprinting to the bathroom. A necessity for today.

Did she really just type that? you ask. Gross. Why would she say that?

Never fear, my friends. The reason I'd say that is because today's itinerary is filled with nothing but making this happen successfully:

Ah potty training. Wanna trade lives with me for the next 3 months?

How 'bout if I throw in an adorable 4-year-old to sweeten the deal? She appears to be a chip off the ol' block when it comes to cheesy awesome original poses and oversized accessories.

Happy Friday.

Want to look like Layla? I know. Me too. Alas, I could only find this stuff...

Your daughter is adorbs! I love her fancy-schmancy posing. Most 4-year-olds would have trouble with that Flamingo Foot pose!

The neutral-ish colors look great! That's something that I would wear, well, anywhere except work and even then, I'd just make it khakis or a skirt instead of jeans. Ha!

I love your hair pin, it is so cute! And it's so cute that you have your little fashionista mini-me to help you get the number poses!!

You have the most adorable 4 year old daughter I have ever seen!!! And that super light sunkissed almost white hair....people pay for that in the salons!

Hey - do you have the longest legs in the history of the universe???

And hell NO I don't wanna do potty training - I would sooner wrestle a crocodile. But good luck with that and let me know when they are ready to dance around the living room in dress ups and glitter eyeshadow singing ABBA songs and eating chocolate sprinkles - my childcare skills are very strong in that area. Also, looking at bugs; I am pretty good at that.

You mothers are like frickin superheroes with magical superpowers of not-throwing-up. It is very impressive to we mere mortals!

We could trade lives, but then you would just have to potty train a boy! I am so ready for him to be done with it, and we just started!

I love the blue and green together!

Your daughters are simply precious! And yes, the potty training...my daughter is 3 1/2 and STILL not potty-trained. So yes, I'd kind of like to trade THAT part with you for a while.

I honestly don't know what else to say besides this post just made me so happy. I love all your posts, though, so maybe I'm biased. But really, please keep doing everything you are doing. I'm grateful for it! {Your captions on your older's pics are hilarious.}

Your daughter is so adorable! And I love both your outfits! You in your neutrals and your daughter in that pretty skirt! I need to get one for my daughter too.

I got lucky on the potty training. I stressed out about when the right time to start is, how to do it etc. But when we did start, she just got it just like that. And when she did, it was like 99% accident free. I practically took her off diapers within a matter of days. The stressing out took longer than the potty training :P Sheer luck, I tell ya!

OMG your daughter is future model status. Super cute! I love her pale blonde hair! And the layered skirt? Omg, killer.

Wait, this is your fashion blog. Haha. My favorite part about the outfit is the belt! I can never work belts into my outfits so I'm always jealous of people who can!

@misfitsvintage: haha! i'd love to see you wrestle a crocodile. actually not really, because you'd probably lose and die. (no offense. just, you know, common sense. unless you're paul hogan 20 years ago...) and, no, i don't have the longest legs in the universe. my sister-in-laws do. luckies.
@bethellen: i'm going to NEED her to stick around for the 20s, no doubt about it.
@elisabeth: thanks! so nice! i actually did the 7 things just a week or two ago. wish i lived an interesting life that i could come up with 7 more. :)
@melissa: we just might be on that road as well. meh. there's definitely pros to having them in diapers, too... (we'll just keep telling ourselves that, kay?)

Brittney said...

@peggy: i think your kids and i would get along just fine. wanna send them over when i have to bust out doing "23"? thanks.
@melissa/lipstick: 20-month-old?! hah! i would end up in the fetal position, bawling and begging for mercy. thanks for the offer...but i'll have to pass.
@ms.mari: i don't want to talk to you right now. i'm too jealous. (kidding...kind of...) how did you get so lucky?!?
@colleen: i'm sorry if my blog ever makes you late. let me know if you ever need a note for your boss or whatever. i'll use my most professional of phrases. and a thesaurus.
@thoa: i know, her hair rules. you should see it in the middle of summer--it's like electric white.
