Mirror images. Smashing. And also? Apparently my body rounds itself out where it wants and when it wants, but it blatantly disregards my needs for forming daily numerals (i.e., the bottom part of a "5"). Stinking stubborn knees that only bend. What good are ya?
boots: target. jeans: kohl's. shirt: gap. cardigan: j.crew. scarf: gift (old navy). belt: Poket's. earrings: hawaii.
In junior high (yes, I'm old enough that I went to junior high and not middle school. Maybe we did arithmetic on slate boards and fetched water from the town well and carried hot potatoes to school in our pails, too. What of it?) (Just kidding. My junior high was just like middle school now--scary cafeteria food and a geography teacher whose white spittle that formed between his top and bottom lip while he talked was absolutely mesmerizing.)
Wow. Better start over. (ahem) In junior high, I remember tucking the front of my shirts in but letting the back hang out. Did anyone else do this? And is it weird that I'm doing it here and now? I don't see it often, but I wanted my belt to be seen here, because to me it tied in the boots to the whole ensemble.
What's your vote--yay or nay to a front-only tuck? And also, sorry about the cuhrazy lighting in these photos. I figure we're all just lucky I got any photos at all. And when I say "we're" I of course mean "I'm"...because probably you all could have a perfectly happy Friday without photos of a girl slapping her knee like a hoedown-beat-keeper and one with hair like a lioness.
But now that you've seen these photos...it's hard to go back to the person you were before. There there, little one. Don't cry.
Happy Friday!

oh, I am a big fan and practitioner of the front only tuck!
Looks effortless but pulled together...LOVE the outfit!!
Have a great weekend!!
IMO, front tucking to show off a bit of the belt is totally acceptable. And even not all that noticeable when wearing an additional top layer as you are.
Ahh, I totally tucked in the front of my (3 sizes too large) shirt in jr. high. Did you also roll the bottom hem of your t-shirts under until it reached the desired length? Gosh, I was a dork!
I think the half-tucked look works for you in this outfit, though!
1. I went to a junior high and I graduated high school in 2005. (It is changing to a middle school for next school year, though.) We are a rare breed!
2. I was actually going to point out that you actually look really pretty in the flash lighting! How do you do that? I look HORRIBLE in a flash. Lucky you!
3. I don't like a front-only tuck, personally. However, you can't really even tell with this ensemble because the sweater covers the sides and back. So I still love the outfit!
I am in love with that scarf. The bright yellow is awesome!
I am also a front-tucker and I like the look, and also it is less work after a potty break :)
I give an exuberant thumbs-up on the half-tuck. It's something I probably would feel weird doing if I was trying to set the trend, but now that I've seen it look so good on everyone else, I love it!
PS - like the new pictures on the wall (... are they new, or am I just newly-observant?)
Love the pop of color from the scarf!
I'm digging the front tuck. You can totally pull that off, and I like how it shows off your belt. Love that scarf color combination too, btw.
I completely rocked the half-tuck look back in the day, but that day was high school for me. So that either means I'm a bit older than you, or Indiana was just waaaay behind on it's trends. And really, it could be a combination of both, because I'm not willing to rule out either one...
Anyway, I really like your hair in these pictures. I don't think it looks like it involves an electrical outlet at all :)
This Life, Redefined…stop by and say hi!
you are so slim that tucking your shirt in looks great. I never thought about tucking the front only - hmmm, clever. You look really cute today and your hair looks great!
Not only do I remember, I still do it now. Not the water fetching, but the half tuck. But like you, I do it with the cardigan, so it's a little less old school.
Man, I love those boots and that scarf.

Your super happy pictures make me smile a big, huge smile. I love your scarf and have definitely been known to rock the half tuck. I say we turn it into a full on trend. Ready. Set. Go.
Leaving the House in THIS?!?!
I only front tuck if I wear another layer, like you did here. I feel like if I do that without the other layer, it looks sloppy and unfinished.

I do the half tuck. you have to to show off the belt. or even you have to so you don't have a stupid belt bulge under your shirt

Such a cute scarf!
I do the front-only tuck frequently. Even if I don't wear a belt. There are a few shirts that I have that just beg to be front-tucked only!
I usually tucked in my shirts because I believe it looks more adorable and more classy. You have shared such an amazing article. Nowadays wholesale blank t-shirts are too much trending because blank t shirt always look classy.
I prefer my half-tuck. You must display your belt. Or maybe you need to show off your belt so that you don't get the embarrassing bulge of your belt underneath your shirt. top mobile app development companies
