Unexpected & Maybe Awesome Guest Post Series: Meredith from Yours, Mine, & Ours

Hey! Meredith here from over at yours, mine & ours
I blog freepiled, modest, mama style and I'm excited to be a part of this sweet new feature!

So usually when I put something together I give it very little thought, but just because I don't have the time to
(my boss is a very crazy two year old and he's one strict task master. who wears a diaper. scary.).
So I tend to focus more of my attention on the shape of clothing and not on the patterns.
Sometimes this gets me in fashion trouble but other times it totally works out.

Here are a few of my favorite Unexpected & Maybe Awesome styles:
Red, White and Ikat.
I love how the traditional colors worked to pull these not-so traditional prints together.

 Feminine mod.
All of the feminine details in this outfit (the bow, the floral and the kitten heels)
helped me feel really pretty and yet modern in this multi-patterned look.

Where's Waldo meets a Lumberjack.
I love me some plaid! And some stripes ...
So what the heck: put them together so you don't have to choose between the two.
Pair with neutral pants and voila.

Thanks for inviting me Brittney!
I really feel like some patterns were born to be mixed so why hold back?
You might just end up with something unexpected and maybe awesome.

[Thanks, Meredith! You're beyond adorable...I love your (seemingly) effortless style for so many reasons, not the least of which is how you fearlessly dress for your lifestyle and end up looking awesome and uninhibited. Everyone go check out (and follow, if you're not already) her blog!]

Teach me to pattern mix! lol. I so fail at understanding it. :(
All of those look great on you, and you seem to have mixing down to a science. Maybe I'm just not brave enough. I talk myself out of it all the time without even trying. You look great.

Jess :)
